15 Toshiba companies in Asia Oceania region participated Earth Hour 2010. Earth Hour 2010 took place on Saturday 27 March at 8.30pm (local time). This event is a global call to action to every individual, every business and every community throughout the world. It is a call to stand up, to take responsibility, to get involved and lead the way towards a sustainable future.

As Toshiba Group “committed to the future”, we participated the event inviting not only employees but also their family, friends, business partners and neighbors to join us. More than 14,500 people in 9 countries were invited by email, fax, poster and meeting, and were encouraged to turn off lights at office, factory and home. Toshiba also turned off Toshiba billboards in Ho Chi Minh, Mumbai and Jakarta. Some of the companies promoted the event by providing a unique event bookmark, T-shirt, PC screen saver, PC wallpaper and web banner.
