In support of Toshiba”s global environment protection effort, Toshiba Singapore Pte Ltd (TSP) replaced its compact fluorescent light bulbs to the Toshiba LED “E-CORE” 2000 series light bulbs at the reception area in March 2010. LED lights are more energy efficient and have longer lifespan as compared to the conventional straight tube fluorescent lamps, thus offering cost reductions and yet emit far less carbon dioxide. A total of 20 LED lights were installed to replace the 60 light bulbs at the reception.

This project aims to reduce electricity consumption by 2,568kw per year, thus reducing a vast amount of fossil fuel burnt. This is essential due to accelerating trends of global warming around the world and people are being more aware of their carbon footprints. Being a sales office with an average of 260 visitors per month, TSP hopes to create more awareness with our energy saving LED light bulbs and encourage our customers to use Toshiba LED lights too!
