Toshiba Digital Solutions Corporation (TDSL) and Toshiba Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (TAPL) (collectively “Toshiba”) participated in the November 16 event to launch Southeast Asia’s first* Quantum Networks EXperience Centre (QNEX).

Located in Singapore and operated by SpeQtral Pte. Ltd. (SpeQtral) in partnership with TDSL, QNEX will demonstrate quantum key distribution (QKD) technology and its real-world applications in securing critical infrastructure and sensitive data. On August 31, 2021, TDSL and SpeQtral announced an agreement to collaborate in marketing and providing QKD solutions to governments and companies in Southeast Asia. Since then, this collaboration has demonstrated success in many areas, including events such as ATxSG 2022, to increase market awareness and share industry insights. It also supported SpeQtral’s success in the first among technical trials in Singapore for a quantum-secured network with SPTel, a Singapore-based telecom service provider.

In addition to Singapore, TDSL has established industry partnerships to secure the early deployment of quantum-secured communications in Japan, South Korea, the UK and the US. TDSL will continue to strengthen collaborations with partners to accelerate the global expansion of the QKD business.
