Toshiba participated in Indonesia International Geothermal Convention 2022 (IIGCE 2022)

Indonesia – Toshiba, represented by PT. Toshiba Asia Pacific (Indonesia) participated in the 8th Indonesia International Geothermal Convention 2022 (IIGCE), held in Jakarta from September 14th – 16th, 2022. Toshiba has participated in IIGCE since 2014 and meets with delegates, including government officers, policymakers, developers, investors, and service companies. IIGCE is Indonesia’s largest event for networking, developing business, showcasing the latest geothermal technology, and offering recommendations for investment policy.

Indonesia has one of the world’s largest geothermal resources. The Indonesian government envisions to develop its potential, aiming for 5,000 MW of geothermal production capacity by 2025, with hydropower and geothermal electricity accounting for 25% of the nation’s power supply. Toshiba is highly familiar with the Indonesian market, the company’s delivery record to date includes a total output of 307MW from 6 units of steam turbines over 4 projects of geothermal power plants namely, Sarulla, Patuha 1, Dieng SS, and Lumut Balai 1.

At IIGCE 2022, Toshiba showcased its world-leading achievement and technical capability in Geothermal Energy Systems and Solutions. EtaPRO™ is a software suite that uses technologies of IoT and AI to improve the utilization rate of the power generation facilities of a geothermal power plant. Its real-time monitoring platform help to keep the equipment and facilities running efficiently and reliably by providing early warning of equipment failure. The other solution is TOSHIBA SPINEX for Energy, an IoT Platform for Energy Industry. SPINEX assists in utilizing plant data, its analysis, providing a wide range of services that customers can tailor to their specific requirements. With these solutions, Toshiba aims to reduce the customer’s cost of power generation by helping improve power plants’ utilization rates.
