MANILA – Toshiba and the National Basketball Association (NBA) today announced a new marketing partnership in the Philippines during the Toshiba Product Launch Press Conference held at The Peninsula Hotel Makati. The alliance between the two leading brands of their respective fields will use various marketing platforms to bring NBA excitement to Filipino fans throughout the NBA season.
As one of the world’s leading manufacturers of a diverse range of electronic products including notebook PCs, high-definition LCD TVs and refrigerators, Toshiba will utilize the NBA’s comprehensive marketing assets, media, and on-ground initiatives to showcase its innovative products to Filipino consumers.
As part of the partnership announcement today, Toshiba launched a new line of products at the press conference. Among them were the REGZA “RV600” and “ZV600” series LCD TVs, new Slim Series notebook PCs Portégé T110 and T130, and the new refrigerator GR-YG66PDA/M46PD/P191 series. Toshiba’s state-of-the-art products come with innovative features that enhance enjoyment of exciting NBA games and highlights on television, or on NBA International Broadband League Pass, a subscription service that offers fans access to a complete season of live NBA game webcasts on the website NBA.com. As part of this campaign, Toshiba will be conducting product road shows in major shopping malls, tours in offices and schools from Christmas season until the end of March 2010.
