« Back PT. Toshiba Consumer Products Indonesia "Green Goes to School" Program

On Jul 24, 2010, PT. Toshiba Consumer Products Indonesia (hereinafter called TJP) completed their 2nd implementation of “TJP Green Goes to School” program. TJP visited a vocational high school and junior high school in Bekasi district and donated rubbish bins, young trees and LCD TVs to the schools to support their educational program.

In this event, Mr. Sallim Lubis, the head of Factory Planning Department at TJP participated in the tree planting together with 15 guests from the local government, education officer/staff, 35 teachers/staff, 150 students and TJP staff to plant a total of 100 trees at the school area.

TJP “Green Goes to School” program is to help schools, students and also local society to be involved in tree planting, and at the same time, to build their environmental consciousness. In face of increasing global concerns over the climate change, destruction of forests and extinction of species, TJP has committed to fulfill our responsibility as a corporate citizen of planet earth. TJP has set a target to plant 1,500 trees (equivalent to 2 trees/employee) by 2011.
