« Back TSDP (Toshiba Storage Device (Philippines), Inc.) Joins Earth Run 2010

Forty years after the first Earth Day, the world is in greater peril than ever. While climate change is the greatest challenge of our time, it also presents the greatest opportunity – an unprecedented opportunity to build a healthy, prosperous, clean energy economy now and for the future.

On April 22nd the world holds its annual celebration of Earth Day., organizations and individuals assemble to honor nature and decry the plight of the physical earth. In line with the event, a fun run dubbed “Earth Run 2010” was held last April 18 at Fort Bonifacio Grounds, Global City Taguig to inspire people to care about the planet and help save the environment.As part of TSDP”s corporate and social responsibility and as support on environmental campaign to save the earth, the management delegated 290 employees to join the banner field. The event fired off at 5 a.m. featuring the 21K, 16K, 5K and 3K runs.

Toshiba, comprising TSDP and TIP (Toshiba Information Equipment (Philippines), Inc) delegation, was given a special award being the second with biggest delegation.

The certificate was received by Vice President Naoki Yamane (FE and MFG), Senior Manager Ramil Soriano (FE) and Senior Manager Albert Ferolina (MFG).

Proceeds of Earth Run 2010 will be given to Greenpeace in support to its continuing efforts to build a sustainable and eco-friendly world.
