CSR Activity 1
On 3 August 2023, several members of Toshiba Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (TAPL) based in Singapore, stepped up to the plate by volunteering for the Blood Donation Drive, thoughtfully organized by Mapletree Business City as part of their Community Month. 🩸 The volunteers’ commitment to this noble cause truly resonates with the essence of Toshiba corporate values, “Doing the Right Thing” and being “Committed to the People. Committed to the Future”. Donating blood is an act that goes beyond words; it’s a stand for what’s right and making a genuine difference in the lives of others. By giving the gift of life through blood donation, the volunteers showed how deeply they care for the people around them. Together, Toshiba united as one family will continue to make a positive impact within our communities!
CSR Activity 2
As part of Toshiba community engagement, Toshiba Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (TAPL) based in Singapore participated in Mapletree Business City’s (MBC) Community Month “Plant-a-Tree” activity on 14 August 2023.
The volunteers of TAPL planted two trees in the center of MBC. The chosen tree species, the Bucida Molineti, also known as the “Dwarf Black Olive” due to its resemblance to the olive tree is renowned for its resilience to thrive in urban environments. These trees represent beacons of growth, symbolizing the spirit that lies at the core of Toshiba’s values – “Committed to People, Committed to the Future”
The “Plant-a-Tree” event demonstrated the power of community involvement. TAPL volunteers joined hands with 100 other MBC tenants, bridging connections and fostering a sense of environmental consciousness. TAPL’s participation in the “Plant-a-Tree” event reaffirmed our dedication to contributing positively by promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility. It is indeed a joy to continue to make a difference in the community we live in.
