東芝將向臺灣提供世界最大等級的S頻段氣象雷達系統
訂單來自GECI GROUP公司，將為臺灣中央氣象局提供雷達系統 全球最大等級天線提供範圍達400公里的廣域觀測 微波電晶體實現對颱風廊道(Typhoon Alley)的高水準觀測能力 東京–東芝公司(TOKYO:6502)今日宣布其將為臺灣中央氣象局(Taiwan Central Weather Bureau)提供擁有世界最大等級天線的S頻段氣象雷達系統，以幫助臺灣有效瞭解氣象條件，該系統將安裝於台南市七股區。東芝將與臺灣工程公司浩普興業有限公司(High Bound Co., Ltd)依據西班牙系統整合與高科技公司GECI GROUP (GECI)的訂單聯合交付這套觀測範圍約為400公里的系統。該系統支援高解析度降雨和風速影像，這也是實現精準天氣預報的關鍵因素。東芝、浩普興業和GECI將於2019年交付該系統。 長期以來，西太平洋地區一直被認為是颱風廊道，世界上一些最強熱帶氣旋經常發端於這裡，包括有歷史記錄以來最強熱帶氣旋颱風泰培(Typhoon Tip)。臺灣經常遭受颱風侵襲，例如2016年7月登陸的尼伯特(Nepartak)造成了大規模破壞並造成三人死亡。作為一個大豪雨可迅速引起山崩和洪災的多山島嶼，臺灣必須隨時做好因應這些天然災害的準備，而東芝S頻段雷達的部署將為臺灣做好準備做出重大貢獻。 該雷達系統採用雙線偏振和東芝最先進的微波電晶體，可提供廣域觀測並實現高水準的觀測能力和精度。該系統還整合了一些備援微波電晶體，如果一些電晶體停止工作，這些備援微波電晶體將維持系統運作。東芝順利通過GECI的技術評審和價格評估並進而獲得這筆訂單。 東芝基礎建設系統和解決方案公司防禦和電子系統事業部副總裁Masaki Haruyama表示：「我們非常高興獲得為臺灣提供氣象雷達系統的首筆訂單。我們相信該系統將有助於提高天氣觀測能力並提供及時、可靠的天氣預報。」 除了用於廣域觀測的S頻段氣象雷達，東芝還研發和交付更適合當地語系化監測的X頻段雙線偏振可移動都卜勒氣象雷達系統。公司致力於在惡劣天氣成為關切問題且需要防災系統的國家擴大這些系統的銷售，包括印度和東南亞地區。 Press Release Available in these languages (PDF) »
